Fisher Sand & Gravel Court-Approved Donations Boost South Phoenix Groups

The Pop Warner football league association in south Phoenix received a surprising boost to its account when a $6,250 check was delivered by a representative of a Valley sand and gravel company.
The August contribution was part of a court-approved payback by Fisher Sand & Gravel, a company with a south Phoenix gravel and asphalt plant that has been the focus of pollution and health complaints by neighbors and environmental justice activists. Read more
